Whole-Home and Distributed Audio in Boca Raton

DISTRIBUTED AUDIO IN BOCA RATON

Music and television audio distributed throughout the home

Sentry Audio Video designs and installs whole-home and distributed-audio systems for Boca Raton homes, estates and condominiums. Music, television sound and outdoor audio can be managed room by room or as coordinated zones. Call (561) 717-3280 for a system consultation.

We plan speakers, amplification, rack equipment, network requirements, source control and the rooms that should play together. New systems and major renovations receive a complete design. Existing systems receive an assessment before amplifiers, speakers or control equipment are replaced.

  • Architectural in-ceiling and in-wall speakers
  • Centralized and room-based amplification
  • Outdoor, patio and pool audio zones
  • Sonos, AudioControl and integrated control platforms

Music should move naturally through a home without requiring a stack of amplifiers, disconnected apps, or portable speakers in every room. Sentry Audio Video designs, installs and services whole-home audio systems for residences, estates, condominiums and outdoor living spaces throughout South Florida and New York.

A professionally designed system can provide simple music control in the kitchen, primary suite, office, gym, patio, pool area and guest spaces while preserving the sound quality and architectural finish expected in a luxury property.

One Music System, Designed Room by Room

Every room does not need the same speakers, volume capability or control method. We determine how each space will be used, where equipment can be concealed, which rooms should play together and where independent listening matters.

  • Architectural in-ceiling and in-wall speakers
  • Invisible speakers for design-sensitive interiors
  • High-performance stereo listening rooms
  • Kitchen, bedroom, office and fitness audio
  • Outdoor landscape, patio and pool speakers
  • Soundbars and television audio
  • Centralized and decentralized amplification

Sonos, AudioControl and Integrated Audio Platforms

Sentry works with Sonos, AudioControl, Episode, Triad, Stealth Acoustics and other professional audio products. The correct platform depends on the number of zones, speaker type, performance expectations, rack design, network and broader automation system.

Sonos can provide familiar app-based control and flexible audio zones. AudioControl and other professional amplification can support higher-performance speakers and centralized systems. Control4, Savant or Crestron can bring music together with lighting, shades, climate and entertainment scenes. Josh.ai can add natural voice control where appropriate.

New Construction, Renovation and Retrofit

During construction, we coordinate speaker locations, wiring, back boxes, rack space, ventilation and keypad or touchscreen locations with the builder, electrician and design team. In an existing home, we evaluate accessible wiring paths, current speakers, equipment condition and the network before recommending what can be reused.

A retrofit does not automatically require opening every wall. Existing wire, wireless audio products and carefully selected architectural solutions may allow a phased upgrade. We explain those limits before equipment is ordered.

Reliable Control Depends on the Network

Streaming audio, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, mobile apps and control-system communication depend on a stable network. Large homes frequently need managed switching, enterprise-grade access points, properly configured multicast traffic and documentation that allows the system to be serviced later.

For estate-scale networking, review our Ubiquiti UniFi installation and service.

Audio System Repair and Takeovers

Sentry can troubleshoot systems installed by another company, replace failed amplifiers, correct zone assignments, improve television audio, repair network-related playback problems and modernize aging equipment. We begin with a system assessment so the proposal distinguishes reusable equipment from items that should be replaced.

QUESTIONS BEFORE A SITE VISIT

Frequently asked questions

What is whole-home or distributed audio?

Whole-home audio distributes music and television sound to multiple rooms or outdoor areas from a coordinated system. Each area can operate independently or join other zones. The design includes speakers, amplification, source control, rack equipment, networking and a simple method for choosing what plays in each space.

Can different rooms play different music?

Yes. A correctly designed multi-zone system allows rooms to play independently, share the same source or group together for entertaining. Available options depend on the amplifiers, streaming sources and control platform. We define the required zones and everyday controls before selecting equipment.

Can outdoor speakers be part of the same audio system?

Yes. Patio, pool, landscape and covered outdoor areas can be included as separate or grouped zones. Outdoor design also considers weather exposure, speaker placement, coverage, neighbor-facing boundaries, amplification and network availability so the system provides even sound without relying on excessive volume.

Can existing speakers or amplifiers be reused?

Sometimes. We test existing speakers, wiring, amplifiers and control equipment before deciding what remains. Reuse makes sense when the equipment is reliable, compatible and appropriate for the desired result. The assessment prevents a working component from being replaced unnecessarily while identifying items that would limit the new system.
