Video Distribution & Whole-Home TV Systems

A luxury residence should not require a separate collection of cable boxes, streaming devices and remotes in every room. Sentry Audio Video designs centralized and room-based video systems that make televisions, projectors and shared sources easier to operate throughout the property.

We provide video-distribution design, installation, upgrades and troubleshooting for homes, estates, condominiums and entertainment spaces across South Florida and New York.

Upgrading One Television or an Existing Media Room

You can request an assessment for a single TV replacement or room upgrade. Sentry reviews the display location, existing mount, concealed cables, receiver or soundbar, cable and streaming devices, and any Crestron, Control4 or Savant controls. The recommendation accounts for picture, sound, everyday operation and compatibility with the equipment you want to retain.

For Palm Beach homes and seasonal residences, we can coordinate the visit with the homeowner or property manager. Describe the room, the current equipment and what you want to improve. Review our Palm Beach AV and smart-home services or request a TV upgrade assessment.

What Whole-Home Video Should Deliver

A properly engineered system allows selected sources to be viewed in multiple rooms with dependable control and consistent picture quality. Depending on the property, that may include cable or satellite receivers, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Kaleidescape, surveillance cameras, media servers and gaming systems.

  • Centralized 4K and 8K source distribution
  • Independent viewing in each room
  • One-touch television and source control
  • Equipment racks located away from living spaces
  • Video walls and multi-view sports systems
  • Projectors and dedicated theater displays
  • Camera viewing on selected televisions

HDMI, AV-over-IP and Networked Video

Traditional HDMI distribution can work well when distances, source counts and display requirements are predictable. Larger properties often benefit from AV-over-IP, where encoders, decoders and managed network switches route video between rooms.

The correct choice depends on resolution, HDR formats, audio requirements, copy protection, cable distance, switching speed, future expansion and whether the client wants features such as video tiling or multiple sources on one display.

Sentry designs the signal path before equipment is ordered. That prevents common failures including intermittent black screens, audio dropouts, slow switching, handshake errors and incompatible display settings.

Control4, Savant and Crestron Integration

Video distribution becomes easier to use when it is coordinated with the control system. Control4, Savant and Crestron can provide consistent room interfaces, source selection, power control, lighting scenes, shade control and audio routing.

A Watch TV command can power the correct display, select the assigned source, set the audio path and adjust the room without exposing the complexity behind the walls.

Television Installation and Concealed Equipment

Sentry coordinates display locations, mounts, recessed boxes, ventilation, power, millwork, soundbars and wiring. Equipment can be centralized in a rack or concealed locally when service access is preserved. We also plan outdoor televisions, mirror televisions and displays integrated into custom cabinetry.

Upgrades and Troubleshooting

Existing video systems may fail after a television, receiver, streaming device or internet service is changed. Sentry can test cabling, extenders, matrix switchers, AV-over-IP endpoints, EDID settings, ARC/eARC paths and control programming before recommending replacement.

If your system experiences signal loss, review our guide to 4K television audio and HDMI problems.

If the TV problem involves automation or source control, review our Crestron repair and system takeover services. The diagnosis checks the connected equipment and control path before a repair or programming change is recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one cable box serve multiple televisions?

Yes, when the distribution and control system is designed for shared sources and independent viewing requirements.

Can Apple TV and streaming sources be centralized?

Yes. We evaluate user accounts, remote-control behavior, resolution and network requirements before selecting the architecture.

Can the system expand later?

AV-over-IP and properly sized matrix systems can provide expansion capacity when switching, cabling and rack space are planned correctly.
