Control4 · Design, equipment & installation
Build your Orlando home around simple, connected control.
Choose the rooms and everyday routines you want to improve, then let Sentry design the Control4 system and supporting network around them. We supply and install complete systems for new homes, renovations and occupied properties in Orlando and Central Florida.
Design before devices
Set the lighting, shades, music, television, climate and compatible entry functions you want. We specify controllers, remotes and touchscreens around those requirements.
A coordinated installation
Your scope covers the agreed wiring, rack, network, equipment, programming and trade coordination. Existing wiring and compatible devices are assessed for reuse.
A usable handoff
We test the agreed functions, demonstrate the controls and explain account access and ongoing support. Separate optional additions from the work you approve now.
For a new build, contact us while drawings and cable routes are flexible. For a renovation or existing home, we review access and installation options before quoting. Bring your goals and target schedule; drawings are helpful when available.
See how a Control4 project comes together
Explore our Boca Raton Control4 prewire and centralized-lighting project, Roslyn Control4 whole-home installation with RGB lighting, HVAC and distributed audio/video, and Manhasset Control4 and Lutron estate integration. These projects are in Boca Raton and New York; they illustrate planning and installation work to discuss for your Orlando home.
Your Orlando proposal should identify the rooms, controls, cable routes, network, installation, programming and training included, with later phases separated from the work being approved now.

Start with your property location and what you want to accomplish. Model and serial numbers are not required. Photos and drawings are optional.
Plan a new Control4 system for your Orlando or Central Florida home. Sentry Audio Video designs, installs and programs automation, lighting interfaces, AV and the network behind them. Start with a site survey or a review of your drawings for new construction, a renovation or an existing-home installation. Service and takeovers remain available separately.
Control4 installation and programming in Orlando
A Control4 project should begin with the property, the people using it and the systems that must work together. We plan controllers, touchscreens, remotes, lighting scenes, audio video, motorized shades, climate, cameras, supported security integrations and the network behind them.
- Existing homes and system expansions
- Renovations and new construction
- Whole-home audio and video control
- Lighting, shades and climate coordination
- Camera and supported security-system integration
- Network, rack and structured-cabling work
In-house electrical and lighting for your Orlando Control4 installation
Sentry handles electrical and lighting work in-house as part of your smart-home project. We plan the electrical scope alongside Control4, Lutron lighting and shades, UniFi networking, and audio/video so everyone works from the same set of plans.
- Plan fixture and keypad locations, lighting zones, dimming and scene control before drywall.
- Coordinate rack power, dedicated circuits, outlets and surge protection with the electrical scope.
- Plan interior, patio and landscape lighting as part of the whole-home system.
For new construction or a remodel in Windermere, Bay Hill or Dr. Phillips, bring your floor plans and lighting drawings. We’ll identify the electrical and low-voltage work in your written scope before installation begins.
New construction, renovations and existing-home installations
For a new Orlando home, involve the low-voltage team before wiring pathways and finishes are fixed. We coordinate rack space, ventilation, Cat6/Cat6A or fiber, speaker and display locations, lighting and shade interfaces, and the controls the household will use. Your proposal separates equipment, cabling, installation, programming, testing and training.
For an occupied home or condominium renovation, we inspect available wiring, the network and compatible equipment before recommending new controls. The scope identifies practical pathways, access procedures and the sequence of work. Installation planning includes account handoff and a defined support arrangement—not only a list of devices.
Control4 service, repair and takeovers
You do not have to stay with the company that installed the original system. Sentry evaluates Control4 systems installed by others, including unreliable rooms, failed remotes, outdated controllers, incomplete programming, weak networks and equipment racks that were never documented.
A takeover starts with an assessment. We identify what still works, what needs immediate repair and what can wait. We do not recommend replacing functioning equipment just to make the proposal larger, and we do not promise that every legacy component can be retained before it is tested.
What an Orlando Control4 visit includes

- Written scope: design, cabling, equipment, programming, installation and support for new projects; a separate repair or takeover scope for existing-system faults.

Approve your Orlando Control4 project in three stages
For new construction or a substantial renovation, ask for decisions and sign-offs that match the construction schedule. This helps the homeowner, builder, designer and installation team work from the same scope as the property moves from drawings to daily use.
1. Before rough-in: approve the infrastructure
Review the room list, display and speaker locations, keypad and touchscreen positions, equipment space and proposed cable routes. Identify which lighting, shade, network and electrical decisions need coordination with other trades. Record any future rooms that need infrastructure now, even if their equipment will be supplied in a later phase.
2. Before equipment ordering: resolve the selections
Confirm the devices and controls included in this phase, the equipment proposed for reuse and any integrations still awaiting review. Ask for a clear record of approved selections, open questions and who resolves them. If cabinetry, fixtures, displays or room layouts change, have the affected installation details reviewed before ordering or closing finishes.
3. At commissioning: demonstrate the agreed tasks
Use a written room-by-room checklist for the functions in your proposal. Examples may include selecting television sources, operating an independent music area and running an agreed lighting scene. Review user controls, account handoff, documentation and outstanding adjustments with the household. Confirm who handles future programming changes and network support.
For an occupied-home expansion, apply the same checkpoints to the rooms being changed and agree on access, interruptions and finish protection. If an installed system has faults or you want a different provider, use our professional Control4 service and takeover assessment to establish its condition and available access first.
