Starlink Marine Installation & Yacht Internet

Starlink Installation Planned for Your Vessel

Sentry Audio Video assesses antenna location, sky visibility, mounting, cable routes, equipment placement and power before preparing a marine installation proposal. We coordinate berth or yard access and available work dates with the owner or captain. The right design considers how the vessel is used at the dock, while moving and along its expected itinerary.

Mounting, Cabling & Power

We select mounting and cable-routing arrangements for the specific Starlink kit and vessel, following the manufacturer’s installation requirements. Masts, nearby antennas and vessel structures can affect the available view of the sky. Structural attachment, sealed cable entries, service access and electrical supply are reviewed with the appropriate vessel specialists. UPS-backed equipment can help with brief power interruptions when specified for the installation.

Hardware, Service Plan & Marine Eligibility

We verify the proposed hardware, mount and service plan against Starlink’s current requirements for stationary, in-motion, coastal or offshore use. A plan intended for a fixed land address is not assumed to cover the vessel’s operating route. The owner retains the Starlink account and subscription; equipment procurement, activation assistance and recurring service charges are identified separately in the proposal.

Integrate Starlink with the Onboard Network

Connect compatible equipment to the vessel’s router and wired or wireless network. We review guest and crew access, AV equipment, cameras, remote viewing and existing network settings before changing the internet handoff. Third-party routing and any Ethernet accessory or bypass configuration depend on the installed Starlink hardware. Local Wi-Fi coverage is designed separately from the satellite link.

Marine Internet Backup & Automatic Switchover

A compatible multi-WAN router can prioritize Starlink, cellular or an available shore connection according to the agreed design. We configure health checks, connection priorities and supported failover settings, then test a simulated outage and recovery. Switching internet providers can change the external address; active calls, VPNs or streams may need to reconnect. Bonded connectivity or session continuity requires a separately assessed design.

Starlink Repairs, Upgrades & System Takeovers

Assess mounting, cables, power, obstruction reports, router configuration and network faults before recommending replacements. We document useful existing equipment and identify the scope for a new terminal, router upgrade or takeover. Hardware faults requiring manufacturer service are coordinated through the owner’s account and applicable support process.

Fort Lauderdale & Boca Raton Marine Service

We serve owners, captains and yacht managers in Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, with berth access, scheduling and installation scope confirmed for each vessel. Send the vessel location, Starlink model if already installed, internet requirements and intended cruising area so the assessment starts with the right information.
