Completed residential project · Roslyn New York
A complete Control4 installation bringing together lighting, HVAC and whole-home entertainment, with RGB architectural lighting, security and networking throughout the house.
One project spanning the home’s technology
At this residence in Roslyn, New York, Sentry Audio Video completed a Control4 installation covering lighting, HVAC, audio and video control across multiple rooms. The project also included surveillance cameras, a burglar alarm and a network built with Ruckus Wi-Fi access points and Extreme Networks switches.
The visual centerpiece is the illuminated tray ceiling. RGB lighting follows the detailed ceiling coffers, while lighting beneath the TV and fireplace feature adds color at floor level. Control4 touchscreens and remotes formed part of the home’s control system.
RGB lighting within the tray ceiling
We installed RGB accent lighting within the tray ceiling and beneath the TV and fireplace. The project photographs show white illumination as well as blue, green, red, purple and amber settings. The lighting follows the architectural trim and gives the room a choice of appearances without changing its finishes.
Whole-home audio and video distribution
The installation included AudioControl receivers, audio throughout the house and audio/video distribution serving multiple rooms. Control4 remotes and touchscreens provided the user interfaces for the control system, alongside lighting and HVAC control.
In the main television area, the screen sits above the marble fireplace. RGB lighting beneath the raised hearth carries the ceiling’s color treatment down to the floor. The photographs document both the television operating and the lighting in different color settings.
Security and networking throughout the house
The security scope included surveillance cameras and a burglar alarm. For the home network, we installed Ruckus Wi-Fi access points, Extreme Networks switches and a router to support the connected systems throughout the house.
The equipment behind the finished rooms
The equipment installation brought together control hardware, audio/video components and structured cabling. The rack photographs show organized cable bundles, while the separate lighting equipment area houses the Control4 cabinet alongside RGB lighting controllers and power supplies.
The completed installation
This Roslyn project combines distinctive architectural lighting with whole-home entertainment and control. The ceiling and fireplace photographs show the visible result, while the equipment and wiring photographs document the infrastructure supporting the systems across the home.
Project scope: Control4 lighting and HVAC control; RGB ceiling and under-fireplace lighting; Control4 touchscreens and remotes; AudioControl receivers; distributed audio and video; surveillance cameras; burglar alarm; Ruckus Wi-Fi; Extreme Networks switching; and routing.
