IT support that fits how your household lives and works

We begin with the issue you are experiencing: unreliable connections, confusing equipment, a change in internet service, an inherited installation or a home office that needs to work more consistently. For larger residences and estates, we also account for guest access, outdoor coverage, equipment rooms, cameras, automation and the needs of household staff or property managers.

What Sentry can help with

  • Home networks and Wi-Fi: Coverage planning, gateways, switches, access points, VLANs and wired connections.
  • UniFi and Ubiquiti systems: New design, troubleshooting, expansion, controller review and takeover of existing installations.
  • Structured cabling and equipment racks: Cat6, Cat6A and fiber, labeling, power, PoE planning and serviceable rack layouts.
  • Connected devices: Network support for televisions, streaming, cameras, access control, automation and communications.
  • Home offices: Dependable wired and wireless connections for everyday work and video calls.
  • Continuity planning: Battery backup, surge protection, documentation and practical recovery planning for network equipment.

UniFi network takeovers for Orlando and Windermere homes

Sentry can assess a UniFi or mixed-brand network installed by another provider. A takeover starts with access and ownership: who controls the UniFi console or cloud account, which administrator credentials can be transferred, whether a current configuration backup exists and which devices are actually adopted to the site.

We then review the gateway, switches, access points, PoE capacity, VLANs, firmware, rack, cabling and the systems that depend on the network. The goal is to keep usable equipment where it makes sense, correct the documented problems and provide a clear repair, expansion or replacement plan. We do not promise ongoing responsibility until access, equipment condition and the service scope have been evaluated.

One team for IT, AV and smart-home systems

A network change can affect a camera feed, music system, Control4 processor, smart-home app or video call. Because Sentry also works on audio video, automation and security systems, we can test the connected property as a whole instead of treating the internet connection as the only issue.

Ongoing support for estates and connected homes

After the network is documented and stable, an appropriate service plan can define which systems are covered, who may approve changes, how remote access is handled, how requests are submitted and what falls outside the agreement. This is especially useful for large residences, seasonal homes and properties managed by household staff or a property manager.

Residential IT and UniFi takeover FAQs

Can Sentry take over an existing UniFi network in Windermere or Orlando?

Yes, subject to an onsite assessment and access to the existing system. We review console ownership, administrator credentials, topology, gateways, switches, access points, PoE, cabling, cameras and connected smart-home systems before defining a takeover or upgrade scope.

Do you have to replace all of the existing Ubiquiti equipment?

No. Equipment that is supported, correctly sized and in good condition may be retained. The written recommendation identifies what can stay, what should be reconfigured and what needs repair or replacement.

Can you support the cameras and automation that share the network?

Yes, when those systems are included in the agreed scope. Sentry works with home networks, UniFi Protect and other cameras, Control4 and other automation platforms, AV systems and the structured cabling behind them.
