Have an aging HAI or Leviton Omni alarm and automation system? Sentry Audio Video assesses existing panels, documents connected devices and plans repair, panel replacement or a phased migration for homes and estates in Boca Raton and South Florida.
Plan Your HAI Alarm Panel Upgrade
Send your city, panel model if known, photos of the enclosure label and keypads, current symptoms and the functions the system controls. Include whether you want updated monitoring, cellular communication, app access or a broader automation upgrade.

HAI, Leviton and the Discontinued Omni Platform
HAI became part of Leviton, and the legacy Omni security and automation product family was discontinued. An existing system may still operate, but replacement equipment, software compatibility and future service options need careful review. Discontinuation alone does not mean that every sensor, wire or connected device must be replaced.
We assess installations identified as HAI Omni, OmniPro II, Omni IIe or Omni LTe and record the exact panel and connected devices before defining the work. Parts availability and the practical extent of repair are confirmed for each property.
Alarm Panel Replacement Is Only Part of the Project
An Omni installation may connect intrusion detection with lighting, thermostats, touchscreens, access functions and household routines. Replacing the alarm panel without mapping those dependencies can leave other functions unavailable. Our assessment separates the security work from the automation work and identifies what must be retained, rebuilt or replaced.
- Panel, keypad, expansion and power-supply inventory
- Zone lists, door and window contacts, motion and other installed detectors
- Existing communication and central-station monitoring arrangements
- Lighting interfaces, thermostats, touchscreens and automation routines
- Wiring condition, documentation and owner-authorized programming access
- Desired app access, communication backup and future control requirements
Can Existing Alarm Wiring and Sensors Be Reused?
Serviceable wiring and some compatible intrusion devices may be reusable after testing. We check zone configuration, device type, power needs, supervision and the requirements of the proposed replacement panel. Existing keypads, wireless transmitters, expansion modules and proprietary interfaces may require replacement even when the wires remain.
Smoke, heat, carbon-monoxide and other life-safety devices require a separate compatibility and condition review. We do not assume they can transfer to a different panel. The proposal identifies required replacement, testing and any applicable permit or inspection coordination.
Modern Monitoring, Cellular Communication and App Access
If your goal is a supported alarm platform with modern controls, we assess a replacement panel, compatible keypads, communication paths and monitoring service together. Cellular or internet communication, remote app functions and subscriptions depend on the selected equipment, coverage and service plan. We explain recurring charges and monitoring arrangements before activation.
Existing monitoring must be coordinated during a changeover. The plan identifies when the old equipment is taken out of service, how the new system is tested and how central-station communication is verified before completion.
HAI Automation Migration and Whole-Home Upgrades
For homes with lighting, climate, entertainment or access functions tied to Omni, a phased plan can separate the new security system from the home-control platform. We review Control4, Savant or Crestron Home when broader integration is appropriate. These platforms do not automatically replace the alarm panel; supported interfaces and each subsystem’s responsibilities must be defined.
The proposal separates essential security work, reusable infrastructure, automation changes and optional expansion. This helps you make a practical decision about a limited panel upgrade versus a larger modernization.

HAI Alarm Upgrade Questions
Can you repair an HAI system instead of replacing it?
We can assess the fault and available options. Some problems may be limited to power, wiring, communications or connected equipment. Repairs depend on condition, access and compatible parts; a discontinued replacement board is not assumed to be available.
Will my lighting and thermostats still work after the panel changes?
That depends on how they connect to the existing system. We inventory those links and explain which functions can remain and which need a new interface, controller or replacement equipment.
How much does an HAI panel replacement cost?
The cost depends on zones, device compatibility, keypads, communication, monitoring and automation dependencies. Start with photos and model information so we can identify the appropriate assessment and proposal scope.
